Arts workshops for children and young people

Are you looking for a company that can organise popular arts workshops for schools, childrens centres or youth clubs? If so, you have come to the right place. Nugent Education Ltd (Est. 2006) has, for a decade, provided a wide range of workshops including creative, performing and urban arts workshop activities.

CRB (DBS) checked, liability insured artists will travel to your school, club or venue to deliver, making it easier for you. The feedback they receive is testimony to the fact that Nugent Education is a provider you can trust. With a proven track record of providing excellent workshops for schools, childrens centres and youth organisations, workshops are guaranteed to be a success. Their range of workshops and activities on offer include:

.

As you can see there is a wide range of creative, performing and urban arts workshops on offer. Workshops can be from one to two hours and full days. Four to six week extensive courses can also be provided. Schools often book workshops for full days, as four one hour workshops can be delivered to class sized groups (though smaller groups of up to 15 are preferred) in a day, making it more cost effective.

Schools often book workshops for school arts weeks, after school activities, curriculum enhancement and PHSE activities. Childrens centres have their own remits with youth centres often focussing on diversionary or simply fun engaging activities.

Their artists deliver arts workshops every day, including evenings and weekends, holidays and bank holidays. Though North West and Midlands based, they deliver throughout England and Wales. With charges allot less than many southern providers; booking through Nugent Education often works out comparatively cost effective. Its always worth booking early to ensure the availability of the best workshop artists.

Their list of clients who book and re-book their workshops is huge. They have successfully delivered workshops for primary schools, secondary schools and special schools. Also Colleges, youth clubs, childrens and young peoples organisations and provided artists for childrens party entertainment.

Children are more sophisticated than ever, so finding positive, interesting activities that they enjoy is more difficult than it was.  Nugent Education organise great arts workshops children and young people of all ages and abilities can engage with.

They work with children aged from four years up to young adults of nineteen. They are also experienced in providing workshops for children and young people with a range of disabilities, behavioural problems and other issues.

They know what type of activities children enjoy. Younger children, for example tend to engage with puppetry, Japanese origami and other crafts. And teenagers lean more towards popular urban arts such as rapping, DJ skills, break dancing and graffiti art. Workshops and courses like makeup and beauty are enjoyed by many teenage girls, with African drumming great for team building and works with any ages.

Whatever your remit, be it school arts week, black history month, diversionary activities, PHSE, gifted and talented,, curriculum enhancement or anything else, we have workshops to fit.

Rapping & human beat boxing workshop:

Both practitioners, whilst very different in style and personality, were absolutely superb. They engaged the children and staff and knew exactly how to pitch the workshop to ensure all children felt a sense of achievement.

Urban zumba street dance workshop:

The practitioner was an excellent dancer who engaged the majority of children into 1920s dance by blending some of it with more modern dance moves. All groups, of which there were 6, were able to perform a dance sequence which lasted a few minutes, which is certainly an achievement for some of our year 8 boys.

African drumming and human beat boxing:

In the meantime, thank you for your support in arranging the workshops for us – the students were buzzing at the end of the two days and we’d definitely recommend the Beat Boxing & Drumming workshops.
